What we do
Each person who comes to us, whether or not they have already been given a diagnosis, is individually assessed when they first come to the Centre. A series of non-invasive tests are run to ascertain what may be triggering the range of symptoms. Each person is an individual and each person will display different characteristics, but possible triggers could be birth trauma, poorly developed gut function or early exposure to toxins. Sometimes we find that the autism "label" is not correct and that there might be other causes of the particular behaviour.
Our senior practitioners have expertise in working with individuals on the autism spectrum. Working together as a team, we use a wide range of treatments to tailor our approach to address both the existing symptoms and their underlying causes. Sufficient time and appropriate regular treatments are needed to access the benefits of this non-invasive, all natural approach. It requires an intense and bespoke approach to work on the underlying causes of the condition to provide a safe and progressive route to symptom reduction and functional improvement.
Treatments such as cranial osteopathy, nutrition, homeopathy, Bowen therapy, scientific functional tests and non-medicinal remedies may be used on such a programme to correct identified imbalances. Other treatments are available if indicated through the assessment including an educational psychologist and integrative arts therapist, if appropriate.
Parents of children and adults who are diagnosed in this spectrum range are provided with emotional support, constant contact, reviews, assessments and ongoing reassessment to track improvement and provide a means to cope with the ensuing changes.
