The Programme
The Autism programme is by its very nature a process which may last up to a year, if not longer, depending on the individual. We are often attempting to reverse long-standing issues, which are having a severe effect on the functioning of the person. This can take time and we would hope to be able to have up to 12 sessions with the patient.
A typical programme might involve:
Initial Assessment
The Initial Assessment will provide an overview of what is broadly needed before the treatment protocol commences. At a minimum most individuals will receive feedback on the appropriateness of the current dietary intake, details of the need for a detoxification programme if required, an understanding of any structural adjustment or emotional support that may be indicated and a suggested protocol to follow with full information on how to help manage the programme at home or school/college. In addition, learning support is offered for highly functioning individuals who may need assistance to support dyslexia, dyspraxia or similar symptoms. A detailed report is also provided.
Further Sessions
Once the conclusions have been drawn from the initial assessment, further sessions might include cranial osteopathy to correct birth strain or trauma, the removal of food or environmental stressors, chelation of heavy metals and further supplementation to correct any nutrient deficiencies.
Over the last five years we have seen the whole range of ASD related issues and as our case study shows, we have had considerable success in achieving a measurable improvement in the majority of patients.
